Document Description
The City of Orange is expanding its Main Library from 17,000 sq. ft. to 45,000 sq. ft. (an increase of 28,000 sq. ft.) by constructing a two story (maximum height of 50') addition onto the westerly facade of the existing library building. The project includes the following: the construction of a 162 space parking lot, the relocation of a historical structure to another site (not yet determined) in Old Towne Orange, the improvements for a 3,000 sq. ft. garden space, the construction of a tower (maximum height of 70'), and the closure of up to 245' of a public street (Center Street north of Chapman Ave.) The architectural style of the expanded library building will be Spanish Colonial Revival.
