Pavlich Timber Harvest and Minor Subdivision

The project proposes a subdivision of a vacant 1.6 acre parcel into four parcels that are 6,334 square feet, 9,634 square feet, 25,625 square feet and 28,145 square feet in size. Parcels 1, 2 and 3 will take access from a new private lane, and Parcel 4 from "O" Street. Subdivision improvements include a 20-foot wide private lane ending with a turnaround, the improvement of "O" Street to City standards, the installation of drainage culverts, and other improvements as shown on the tentative map received by the Community Development Department March 6, 2002. The project also includes timber harvesting of approximately 50,000 board feet of mostly redwood, but also including Sitka spruce, pine and eucalyptus. The purpose of this harvest is to improve the solar exposure for the proposed building sites and remove any trees that could pose a hazard to future dwellings.
