Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), proposes to convert a segment of State Route 99 from a four-lane expressway to a six-lane freeway and construct an interchange near Road 20 and Avenue 21.5 near the community of Fairmead in Madera County. The conversion would be between post mile 19.6 (kilometer post 31.54) which is approximately 0.9 miles (1.45 kilometers) south of Avenue 21.5, and post mile 22.6 (kilometer post 36.37), which is approximately 0.1 mile (0.18 kilometers) south of separation for State Route 152 and 99.
