The Applicant proposes to construct a flood control project within the Napa River just upstream from the Pope Street Bridge. The individual elements include a floodplain terrace, shoreline restoration, a new levee and floodwall, bank stabilization, removal of homes, and associated drainage improvements. The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2005-0793-3 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant Bert Johansson / City of St. Helena.
