The selected Project (Modified Enhanced Minimum Plan A will provide flood protection and flood corridor restoration along a portion of the Napa River that would result in a re-mapping and reduction of the FEMA 100-year floodplain so that 202 structures, including mobile homes, single-family dwellings, and low-income multifamily untis would no longer be within the floodplain boundaries. The Project would also reduce water surface elevations in storms greater than the 100-year storm event for an additienal 266 structures presently mapped within the 500-year and re-establishment of floodplain terraces along the project reach, setting back of levees and the re-creation and restoration of a natural floodway corridor.
