Document Description
The Santa Fe Irrigation District Water Master Plan focuses on certain recommended capital improvements based on hydraulic analysis of the SFID existing and ultimate water system. These improvements have been coded and are listed together with respective descriptions, reasons, lengths of pipe, cost factors, and priority (see attached table). The high and medium priority elements are expected to be constructed within the next five to seven years and low priority elements thereafter. Nearly all of the individual elements are replacement (upsized) pipelines and fire hydrants to correct existing deficiencies, provide a high level of reliability, and ensure adequate fire flows. From an on-ground perspective these elements are almost entirely within paved streets and fully disturbed public right-of-ways in urban or rural residential settings.
