Document Description
The overall project involves construction of a new 6,000 square foot single family residence on the 160 acre property. The County of Alameda requires the owner to widen and pave the existing earth driveway, provide drainage in accordance with current standards, and mitigate soil conditions. The crossing was created with a 48 inch culvert and placement of fill within the creek. Recompacted fill will be placed to the same lines and grades as the existing fill and the 48 inch corrugated metal culvert will be placed with an HDPE culvert of the same diameter. A concrete head wall will be constructed at the upstream end of the culvert. Loose placed rock rip rap will be provided at the culvert outfall to dissipate energy. The owner propose to sheetpile the excavation at the limits of the existing fill to minimize impacts to existing vegetation. Two swales drain across the existing driveway and outfall to the pond. The project will replace the two culvert crossings. Issuance of a Streambed Alteration Agreement Number R3-2001-0777 pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1603.
