Present Land Use
High Soils Erosion Hazard Area, the High Wildlife Hazard Area, Prime Agricultural Soils Area, Severe Pressure Limitations Soils Area and the High Risk Area for Septic Tank Limitations. AG-2-B-40 (Non-Prime Agricultural, 40-acre minimum parcel size) The site is adjacent to a rock outcrop on a ridge east of Interstate 5 and the Hilt interchange at an elevation of 3,734 feet. The construction site is currently undeveloped. The lease area where the proposed monopole and equipment shelter would be constructed is on a flat area at the top of the hill (0-5 percent slope). There is no surface water on or near the project site. Vegetation consists mainly of grasses, buck brush, manzanita, oak and juniper. Deer, rodents and song birds are common in the area.
Document Description
The applicants request approval for a Use Permit to construct and operate an unstaffed cellular transmission site with facilities to include an 85-foot high monopole antenna support structure supporting two sectors of flush-mounted, non-reflective panel antennas (each 66 inches high x 8.7 inches wide x 2.8 inches deep). The project also includes construction of an equipment shelter (4 feet, 5.125 inches wide x 3 feet, 10.5 inches long x 6 feet, 1 inch tall). All the facilities would be within a 400 square foot lease area on the site. In the event of local power failure, a portable back-up diesel generator would be temporarily installed until power is restored. The proposed personal communications system (PCS) uses digital technology.
