Document Description
The purpose of the Aragon Elementary School addition project is to reduce reliance of portable classrooms and maximize onsite play area. LAUSD proposes to construct a two-story classroom building of 23,220 square feet containing 14 classrooms, 2 kindergarten classrooms, a kitchen, 4 student restrooms, and other appurtenant facilities. The project would also add a lunch shelter to the campus and 32 parking spaces beneath the proposed footprint of the building. As a part of the project, 10 bungalow classrooms, 2 kindergarten classrooms and 12 on site surface parking spaces would be removed.
