Document Description
The United States Coast Guard proposes to replace its aging nation-wide system of assets used to execute its Deepwater missions with an integrated system of surface, air, logistics, communication and sensor systems over the next several decades. This Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DPEIS) considers the effects of the proposed action and the effects of a No Action Alternative. As a programmatic document, it covers general issues in a broad, program-oriented analysis. Subsequent NEPA documentation will concentrate on specific implementing actions. The information contained in this DPEIS is required to comply with the National Environmental Policy Act.
