Document Description
The applicant proposes to draft water from the East Branch Russian Gulch, a fish bearing stream, for watering roads associated with Timber Harvest Plan #1-00-040-SON and for road repair and dust abatement during log hauling. The total volume needed will be approximately 20,000 gallons per week during operations on the THP. Water drafting will be at the rate of 200 gallons per minute. Water will be drafted from a sump hole dug in the alluvial flat adjacent to the watercourse. The California Department of Fish and Game (DFG) is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement 2001-0665, pursuant to section 1603 of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, Mr. Henry Alden, Sonoma Coast Associates.
