Document Description
The San Andreas Scientific Drilling Project is a research project designed to collect data for analyses on earthquake hazard assesment and prediction. The project proposes to drill two adjacent boreholes, a directional borehope into the San Andreas Faultzone and a shallower, vertical monitoring borehole. The 20-year project includes a 5-year intermittent drilling phase, and a 15-year monitoring phase.
