Document Description
SAA R3-2002-0812 The proposed project will involve work in Dan Wilson Creek along Highway 80 in Fairfield, Solano County. Dan Wilson Creek is intermittent in this area and some water may be present during construction. The proposed work will widen both existing bridges of Highway 80 over Dan Wilson Creek resulting in the closure of the gap between the bridges. If flow is present in the creek during the construction period, temporary water diversion systems will be constructed consisting of coffer dams and culverts to bypass flow. In-creek work will consist of excavation for footings, drilling for new pilings, pile driving, forming and shoring of new columns to support the widened bridge structure. To accommodate this work all existing vegetation between the two bridges will be removed and the stream bed will be reshaped. The equipment that will be used to accomplish the work will most likely be bulldozers, backhoes, trucks, earthmovers, cranes, pile drivers, and drilling rigs.
