Document Description
The applicant is proposing to construct a new 10,481 square foot mixed-use office/retail building on a vacant lot located at 145 El Camino Real. The project site is bounded by El Camino Real on the east, Cambridge Avenue on the north, and Alto Lane on the west. The proposed building is two-stories with 7,981 square feet of the project proposed to be general office and 2,500 square feet proposed to be retail space. The project includes a 19,261 square foot basement provided for underground parking for a total building area of 29,742 square feet. The underground parking would accommodate 47 parking spaces. In addition, 21 parking spaces are provided at grade, for a total of 68 parking spaces. The project site will have access via one right-turn only driveway on El Camino Real and full access driveways on Cambridge Avenue and Alto Lane. Access to the underground parking area will be provided via a ramp with access to Alto Lane. The proposed project requires approval of a use permit and architectural control from the Planning Commission. In addition, the project requires review and approval of a Below Market Rate (BMR) housing program by the Housing Commission and the Planning Commission.
