The County of San Luis Obispo is the lead agency for the Supplemental EIR (SEIR) for the proposed AT&T fiber optic cable project, which includes installing fiber optic cable from the City of San Luis Obispo, south through the counties of Santa Barbara, Ventura and Los Angeles and terminating in the City of Los Angeles. The applicant is AT&T Communications of California, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "AT&T" or "applicant"). The County of San Luis Obispo has permitting authority over portions of the project within San Luis Obispo County.
