Document Description
California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement (Agreement) pursuant to Section 1601 (SAA#5-2001-0379) of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, Mr. Ken Deck, Rowland Water District. The applicant proposes to alter the streambed and bank by constructing an 8-inch potable water pipeline across an ephemeral drainage located in Schabarum Regional Park. A total linear distance of 4,100 feet of pipeline is proposed. A 40 foot construction corridor, 20 feet on each side of the pipeline, will be needed for construction purposes, but at the unnamed drainage, the construction corridor will be reduced 10 feet to accommodate the trencher and minimize impacts to the drainage. Support equipment will stage from the adjacent landscaped portion of the park. To avoid impacts to southern willow scrub habitat and native grasslands, the drainage crossing has been adjusted to cross were a previous hiking trail exists. The proposed project shall not impact more than 200 feet of stream channel, no riparian vegetation shall be impacted.
