Document Description
Remove and replace an existing gaging station control weir upstream of the diversion dam on Pitman Creek. Pitman Creek will be diverted temporarily around the work site, using temporary sandbag structures and a short diversion pipe. Remove, refurbish and replace slide gates, guides, and seals at the intake to the diversion. Repair concrete intake in the diversion structure, and concrete approach apron. Remove six boulders upstream of the weir. Core the diversion dam, install a new 12-inch fish-release pipe to extend 25 feet downstream. Install a slide gate with orifice plate and an acoustical flow meter at the pipe outlet. Install a small truck crane on a permanent foundation to remove trash from the intake grid. Install underground power line to the diversion dam, for power to operate slide gates. Construct new walkways and handrails for access to the acoustical flow meter.
