Document Description
The project consists of the construction of a low flow inlet and piping system, parallel to the existing high-flow storm drains and slope terrace drains, which will divert gutter and v-ditch low-flow runoff from the Kite Hill subwatershed of the JO3P02 storm drain system. The low-flow runoff is diverted into a newly constructed natural treatment wetland to reduce pollutants in the runoff before it flows into the natural creek system. The North Wetland will be approximately 0.3 acre in total area, of which 0.2 acre would be a functional marsh, and will be constructed on existing County of Orange parkland open space within the Laguna Niguel Regional Park.
