Document Description
The proposed addition at El Camino High School, the "project", consists of the construction of a new multi-story Science and Technology Building along with related site work improvements, to be located on the north east corner of the existing school campus. The new building will be built on the "upper pad" directly opposite the high school's main entrance, approximately a hundred feet east of Rancho Del Oro Drive. The new building will displace a portion of the existing staff parking, temporary trailers and relocatable buildings which presently occupy this area. The parking is to be reconfigured and the trailers and relocatable buildings are to be removed to make way for the proposed school addition. The Science and Technology Building will provide new "state-of-the-art" science and computer labs and classrooms. Due to site size restrictions and to minimize impacts to existing facilities on campus such as parking, courtyards, landscaping and existing buildings, a multiple-story design will be utilized for the new Science and Technology Building.
