Document Description
This is a supplement to the Notice of Preparation (SCH# 2001071022) circulated on May 22, 2002. The City is now proposing development of approximately 115 acres of sports park facilities to be implemented in phases. The proposed project also includes installation of a spillway to improve flood control facilities southeast of Sessums Drive, and the conservation of habitat lands for the federal-listed endangered San Bernardino kangaroo rat. Potential habitat conservation areas under consideration are City-owned lands on the north side of the Airport, within the alluvial fan of the Santa Ana River wash. Finally, the project will include a bicycle/pedestrian/equestrian trail between Wabash and Dearborn Avenues, in accordance with the City's Master Trail Plan.
