Document Description
The following project activities (2) involve one installation of a class I bridge crossing (see attached map point #11), the replacement of one class II culvert (see attached map point #5) and alteration of bed, bank, or channel in the North Fork 10 Mile River Watershed. Both activities are approximately .25 areal miles apart. Each crossing is located approximately 4.5 areal miles inland from the coast and north of Bucha Ridge as described in the timber harvest plan (1-00-347 MEN) located on Hawthorne Timber Company (HTC) property. The timber harvest plan (THP) map "Bucha Ridge THP Section 19; T20N; R16W; Duchmans Knoll USGS Map" specifically indicates the location at which the crossings will require the Streambed Alteration Agreement. The topographic exposure is north west and slopes are moderately steep. The elevation at the site is approximately 400 feet at the class II and less than 200 feet at the class I crossing. The site visit was conducted on September 21, 2000 and no running water was observed at the class II site during the inspection.
