Geotechnical borings upstream of Folsom Dam are needed in order to provide
(1) detailed 3-D profiling of the lakebed/bedrock contact in the vicinity of the west outlet.
(2) characterize the physical lake bed sediments that will be excavated
(3) provide a general 3-D profile of the lake bed/bedrock contact in the remaining excavation footprint.
