Document Description
SDG&E proposes to upgrade 9 miles of an existng international transmission line (known as the Miguel Tijuana line) south of San Diego. The upgrade consists of constructing an electrical switchyard at the Otay Mesa Powerplant (currently being constructed), the constrution of 0.1 mile of new double circuit transmission line from the new substation to the existng transmission line, and reconductoring, by adding 6 additional conductors (wire) to the existing towers between the interconnection point and SDG&E Miguel Substation. This proposed project will tie the new Ota Mesa powerplant to the Southern California electrial system.
