Document Description
The campus proposes construction of an Environmental Science Center building at the Heath and Marjorie Angelo Coast Range Reserve, on the South Fork of the Eel River in Mendocino County. The Reserve is owned and managed by the University of California as part of its Natural Reserve System, and encompasses almost 4,400 acres of protected wild lands. The new building would be designed to house 3,300 square feet of enclosed space consisting of an office, a conference room, a library, a computer room, a photo dark room, a general lab space, a sample preparation room, an open-air greenhouse, and a kitchen, two toilets, mechanical room, and storage space. It would also include 2,130 square feet of at-grade decking and covered breezeway, which would connect the individual enclosed areas.
