Document Description
The purpose of the proposed Southeast Area New High School No. 2, New Middle School No. 3 and New Continuation High School No. 1 is to relieve overcrowding at the existing South Gate, Bell and Huntington Park High Schools and South Gate Middle School. Subsequent to demolition and clearance of the 40.0-acre project site, LAUSD proposes to provide 2,475 two-semester seats in grades 9 through 12. The three facilities are expected to include approximately 372,270, sq.ft. of building space including: 162 classrooms, separate administrative offices, cafeterias and eating areas 3 libraries and 2 gymnasiums. Atheletic facilities will include softball and soccer fields, basektball, volleyball and tennis courts, and a stadium for football and track and field activities. Approximately 500 surface pakring spaces will be provided.
