Document Description
Applicant built a 180-foot-long by 12-foot-tall earth fill dam for an onstream reservoir with a net capacity of 14 acre-feet. Water is to be diverted only during the season of collection, November 1st to March 15th. The property is located in Lake County, approximately 10 miles northwest of Clear Lake. As submitted in the application, the project was described as a recreational and stockwatering pond. If necessary the reservoir will be kept full during the summer and fall with pumped groundwater for recreation/aesthetics. The applicant has a groundwater well and pump on his property. The groundwater source is not part of the application to appropriate water nor is it subject to State Water Resources Control Board jurisdiction, however it should be mentioned as a water source for the completeness of the project description.
