Document Description
Rehabilitation and restoration of the Mohnike Adobe, a City-owned historic site (HRB No. 419, May 25, 2000) located in the eastern end of the Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve. The rehabilitation program would be completed in two phases and include the following: Phase I would consist of seismic stabilization, roof and adobe wall repair, existing cobble-lined drainage swale improvements, and restoration of the interior center patio. Phase ll would consist of floor/wall and floor/beam connections, additional existing cobble lined drainage swale improvements, repair to north and west porches (decks, foundations, columns and steps), removal of south patio, east utility room, contemporary features and restoration of interior finishes, and reconstruction of the original lean-to on the east facade. The outdoor plaster and portions of the adobe substrate would also be repaired in this phase. Phase ll also includes one additional parking space, path of travel and ramp for disabled access to the restored adobe building.
