The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2019-0089-R5, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, California Department of Transportation, District 7, as represented by Paul Caron. The project will widen SR-71 to a standard 8-lane freeway, including three general purpose lanes and one HOV lane in each direction from I-10 to the Los Angeles/San Bernardino County Line.
