Document Description
The County of San Luis Obispo is proposing to widen an approximate 4,900 foot section of Orchard Road in order to provide a center two-way left turn lane and five foot paved shoulders on both sides of the roadway, and to add traffic signals at the intersection of Orchard Avenue at Division Street. The majority of the widening will occur on the northeasterly side of the existing roadway. The widened roadway will more safely accommodate traffic increases that have occurred as the result of growth in the Nipomo area. The area to be widened is located on Orchard Avenue from 700 feet north of Division Street to 800 feet south of Southland Avenue, in the community of Nipomo, in San Luis Obispo County.
