Document Description
The proposed project contains 74,000 gross square feet on five acres, which may be expanded to 96,000 gross square feet on six acres should the Jackson laboratory exercise its future option to expand. The building will contain laboratory, laboratory support, and administrative areas. The building is a single story. This project will provide state-of-the-art facilities to prepare, breed, and house genetically standardized mice for research on the UC Davis campus and in other West Coast research programs. The proposed site of the project is a six-acre site in an Enterprise Reserve area of the west campus, approximately two miles from the central campus. The proposed project site is south of Hutchison Drive, on the west side of Hopkins Road, opposite the University Airport. The land will be groundleased to The Jackson Laboratory for construction of this facility.
