The facility will be on a 3.14 acre parcel in an area zoned M-1 for industrial facilities. The station will consist of a small administration buidling (approximately 9,500 net square feet), a grain inspection area, public parking, and grain truck parking. All parking areas will be paved. The project site has adequate parking capacity for peak inspection periods. The facility provides grain inspection and certification for farmers in the Sacramento Valley.

Categorical Exemption
Type, Section or Code
Class 3, 27 Section 15303, 15327
Reasons for Exemption
The project consists of an in-fill project on a vacant site in an industrial/warehouse area. The project is consistent with the zoning and allowable uses on the parcel. The project requires the lead agency to implement traffic control measures to prevent congestion at the entrance point on peak inspection days, to restrict off-site parking, and to regularly maintain the property to prevent nuisance conditions.
