Document Description
The County of Santa Cruz (applicant) is proposing to improve a 0.64 mile section of Graham Hill Road east of the town of Felton, Santa Cruz County. The Applicant proposes to widen Graham Hill Road by three feet and place four-inch asphalt concrete on an aggregate base overlay. The Applicant also proposes to improve the drainage system by installing approximately 1,400 linear feet of 48 inch drain pipe, 650 linear feet of 18 inch drain pipe and 210 linear feet of 30 inch drain pipe and three new culverts comprising of 18-inch, 30-inch and 48-inch high density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe. The 48 inch diameter storm drain pipe will carry flows from the drainage basin to a tributary of Zayante Creek just west of the railroad track crossing at Graham Hill Road. A baffled concrete energy dissipater structure is proposed at the outlet and a silt and grease trap manhole is proposed to be installed before the outlet structure. The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2009-0106-3 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, County of Santa Cruz.
