Document Description
The project invollves the removal of pyrolytic oil contaminated soil and sediment from on-site ponds. The three ponds were contaminated by runoff from a major tire fire at the site, The removal action is a time critical action. Removal of the contaminated soil and drainage course should a significant storm event, as wet site soils will preclude the use of heavy equipment.

The site is remotely located away from population centers and urbanized areas. There are no human or ecological receptors for potential exposure to hazardous substances that might be relased during the removal action. The site is a minimum of five (5) miles from the nearest populated area, the town of Westly. There are no bearby residences. Site access is controlled by fencing, on-site security, and the ponds are two miles from the gated site entrance near Ingram Creek Road.
