Document Description
The proposed project includes the construction and operation of a second main railroad immediately adjacent to, and west of, the exisiting single track from approximately La Veta Avenue in the City of Orange south to 17th Street in the City of Santa Ana. The proposed second main track would primarily be located within the exisiting railroad right-of-way (owned by Orange County Transportation Authority). Project construction from Fairhaven Avenue south to 17th Street may require the acquisition of street rights-of-way from the City of Santa Ana. In addition, the Santa Ana Second Main Track project would include limited improvements to four intersections (La Veta Avenue, Fairhaven Avenue, Santa Avenue, and 17th Street and a second (parallel) bridge over Santiago Creek. The proposed bridge would be within railroad right-of-way.
