Document Description
The project includes the construction of a new water treatment facility to meet the California Department of Health Services requirements for additional water filtration at the District's Rose Canyon Wellfield. The method of additional treatment would be contact clarification-filtration. Contact clarification-filtration units would be housed in an approximate 3,200 sf structure located on the District's three-acre graded parcel containing the existing Rose and Lang Wells (Rose Canyon Wellfield). Other associated equipment and basins would be located adjacent to the new structure, and would be situated partially below grade or within solid concrete block structures to minimize visual effects and potential noise impacts. Filter backwash would be conveyed via a new six-inch sewer force main to be installed within an existing easement to a sewer connection in Robinson Ranch.
