Document Description
The proposed project would extend a 12-inch diameter sewer force main from the southern boundary of the SRCSD property for about 3,300 feet north to Sims Road. The work begins at a channel crossing of a concrete lined man-made open channel. From there it runs north parallel to the UPRR track. The first 300 feet run through a paved water storage tank site. The remaining 3,000 feet of force main runs through SRCSD buffer lands. At Sims Road the force main discharges to a 21-inch gravity sewer line that crosses under the UPRR tracks and connects to a 33-inch gravity line. An odor control station will be installed to treat any gases generated at the point of discharge. The odor control station will be located 1,600 feet west of the discharge point to the odor control station. The odor control station will be a package system approximately 10 feet wide by 25 feet long. A blower will pull air through the air duct and run it through biofiltration modules. The unit will require approximately 10 gallons of water per day, and will operate continuously.
