Document Description
Proposed program consists of three elements: water conservation program, recycled water program at the City of Watsonville Wastewater Treatment Plant, and ground water banking, including the construction of a 23-mile import pipeline. The Draft BMP is the water supply management plan developed by PVWMA to balance water demands with water supplies in the Pajaro Valley Basin. The BMP 2000 updates water supply planning information presented in previous studies (including the Basin Management Plan, 1993), defines water supply planning objectives, and outlines a recommended program, referred to herein as the BMP 2000 Recommended Program. Those components of the Recommended Program that have not yet undergone project-level CEQA review, described in the subsequent section, will be evaluated in the BMP 2000 EIR. The components of the BMP 2000 Recommended Program are: Water Conservation, Local Water -Implementaion of Recycled Water, Groundwater Banking.
