Existing instream sand and gravel mining and cattle grazing. Present General Plan: Farmlands and permanent grazing.
Document Description
Use Permit to expand existing instream sand and gravel mining operation and reclamation plan from 35 to 60 acres in the lower Pancho Rico Creek drainage to the Salinas River. It is estimated that 340,000 cubic yards of material will be removed over the next 20 years at an average annual production of 17,000 cubic yards and a maximum annual production of 30,000 cubic yards resulting in a maximum streambed elevation change of 6 feet. The streambed is replenished with new material in the winter and spring months, allowing mining operations to continue indefinitely with minimal impacts.
