Document Description
A Coastal Development Permit to decommission and dismantle several facilities and structures associated with the former Louisiana Pacific timber processing complex on the Samoa Peninsula. The work to take place involves demolition and removal of the following: 1.) a sawmill building; 2.) a power plant; 3.) drying kilns; 4.) three above-ground tank containers; 5.) a steam-cleaning station and north fueling station, 6.) warehouse 16, and 7) three small docks and numerous miscellaneous pilings. No work on land will take place below grade, and no work will take place outside of the former timber processing complex. The docks and pilings are within the permit jurisdiction of the State, and a separate Coastal Development Permit for their removal will be required from the California Coastal Commission.
