Document Description
This project is ongoing and has been in existence as early as the 1950's. The County of Tehama has material agreements with the owners of private land along the above-mentioned locations. The County mines the gravels from these locations on the basis of maintenance and construction needs. It is anticipated that over a 30-year period approximately 1.875 million cubic yards of material will be mined. Annually, the streambeds are replenished with materials from the foothills.
