The site is presently vacant. Zoning allows up to 25 multi family dwelling units. The General Plan designation is Planned Development (PD). Development is currently guided by the 1988 Kirkwood Master Plan which designates the site for high density residential use.
Document Description
The project would locate 25 multi family condominiums and 6640 square feet of commercial space in two separate buildings on a 1.00 acre site located on kirkwood Meadows Drive adjacent to the "Village Core Area" of the Kirkwood Resort. Each building would have commercial space on the ground floor, with residential units above. The larger of the two buildings will have structured parking on the ground level, connected to Kirkwood Meadows Drive by an access drive into the center of the site. A row of parking is also planned along Kirkwood Meadows Drive. A pedestrain walkway with a bridge connects the two buildings.
The site has an average slope of approximately seven to eight percent with stands of Jeffery Pine and native grasses. Two sections of intermittent streams intersect the site, one flows through the western side of the property and the other intersects the northeast corner of the site. Both of these stream segments flow into kirkwood Creek.
