Document Description
The project includes relocation of the existing reinforced concrete box culvert and flood control channel to accommodate the construction of the Harder Road Underpass and a Union Pacific railroad bridge. Water present in the channel during the construction period will be collected behind temporary sandbag dams in the concrete portion of the channel and will be diverted by pumping and released downstream ( beyond the llimit of work) in a protected manner. Project is located in Alameda County Flood Control Channel Line E, Zone 3A (Ward Creek) located in Alameda County, Assessor's Parcel Number 452-0004-005-01, Hayward USGS Map, Township 35, Range 2W, Section 27. Ward Creek is a tributary to Alameda Creek. The California Department of Fish and Game (DFG) is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement 2001-0403, pursuant to Section 1601 of the Fish and Game Code to the project operator, Robert Bauman, City of Hayward.
