Document Description
The project is the adoption of the 2000 update to the Countywide Comprehensive Transportation Plan (2000 Update). This plan and the update to it is called for in Measure C, which requires the Authority to develop a countywide Comprehensive Transportation Plan; and update it every two years". as part of the Contra Costa Growth Management Program established by the measure. In addition, Measure C requires local jurisdictions to "participate in a cooperative, multi-jurisdictional planning process to reduce [the] cumulative regional traffic impacts of development". The Authority established the Action Plan process for providing a forum for this cooperative planning. The Regional Transportation Planning Committees (RTPCs) prepare Action Plans for Routes of Regional Significance for the each of the subareas of Contra Costa (and including the Alameda County portion of Tri-Valley as well). Updates to the Action Plans will also be included in the 2000 Update.
