Document Description
The Los Angeles County Department of Public Works (Department) is proposing to place an 880-foot-long and 96-inch-diameter reinforced concrete pipe within a vegetated natural watercourse between Youngwood Drive and Carretera Drive in the city of Whittier. The proposed project includes the acquisition of temporary and permanent rights-of-way to construct the project. Construction of the proposed project will result in the loss of approximately 0.3 acre of wetlands and other waters of the United States. The Department proposes to mitigate the loss of this habitat through the use of its mitigation bank in Big Tujunga Wash.
