Document Description
The proposed project consists of construction of a 3.1 million-gallon water storage tank, booster pump station, transmission main and all associated mechanical appurtenances. The purpose of the project is to enhance the reliabilty of Citizens Utility Company and Sacramento County water service systems in response to loss of water production due to the contamination of groundwater in the Rancho Cordova area. The tank will be located near the intersection of Old Placerville Road and Macready Avenue. The proposed transmission main will extend east along Old Placerville Road and north along a portion of the Union Pacific railroad. The project will also include paving an existing gravel road and installation of paving for the tank site, a hydropneumatic tank and a diesel generator.
