Document Description
The proposed Master Plan includes a series of projects for the campus that involve the removal of many existing buildings, the development of several new buildings (approximately 553,000 to 578,000 square feet), renovation of existing buildings, modifications to access and circulation, development of new athletic fields and tennis courts, provision of additional parking, modification and expansion of other campus infrastructure, and renovation of the campus landscaping. Almost all facilities would be developed within the existing campus boundaries; a proposed High Technology Center at the corner of South Bascom Avenue and Moorpark Avenue would be built by a private developer, with the option for the College to enter into a long-term ground lease. In this case, the developer would submit its own application to the City for construction of the building, and construction of the building would be processed under separate environmental review. It is estimated that buildout of the proposed Master Plan area would accommodate an enrollment of approximately 15,000 students by the year 2014.
