The airport business park is designated for a combination of industrial, service commercial, highway commercial, and public facility development. Specific plan no.1 contains similar land use designations. The business park is located in compatibility area 11 of the airport master plan, where commercial and industrial land uses are acceptable. The county airport land use compatibility plan defines the area as compatibility zone "D" which has negligible risk and where all uses are normally acceptable, except those hazardous to flight. Zoning in the area is a combination of C-2, heavy commercial, 1, industrial, and PO, professional office. The most significant land use in the area is a regional distribution center for Gottschalk's department stores. Other industrial uses or businesses include Florestone products company. Moore Galvanizing, pacific God Products, The local P. G. & E. service center, performance trailers, a California Highway Patrol Office, Plasti-Chem incorporated, and Vogal Frame Company.
Document Description
An amendment of various plans to revise the proposed street pattern in the area of the airport business park to improve the provisions for future access and circulation in a developing commercial and industrial area of the city. The amendments will establish consistency between all of the plans relative to the proposed location of and status of aviation drive, the future extension of Falcon Drive, the appropriate alignment for construction of Condor Road, and the future status of Avenue 16. No change of land use designations or zoning is proposed with this project.
