Document Description
CDFG is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1601 (SAA # 5-057-99) of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, Cliff Swanson of the City of Chula Vista. The applicant proposes to construct Oympic Parkway in Chula Vista, a five mile long, six lane wide extension of East Orange Avenue beginning at Oleander Avenue (east of i-805) and terminating one mile east of State Route 125. This project will permanently impace 7.96 acres of stream. The project's mitigation measures include the on-site and off-site creation of 15.01 acres of southern willow scrub, mulefat scrub and freshwater marxh, and an additional approx. 25 acres of native habitat created on the stream banks. The project is located in the City of Chula Vista, in Poggi Creek, tributary to the Pacific Ocean in San Diego County.
