Document Description
Development of a public park located at the northwest corner of McPherson Road and Spring Street in Orange, CA. A portion of the site is located within the FEMA-mapped floodplain, and a portion contains a former landfill. The project involves closure (capping) of the onsite landfill, placement of rock riprap on the eastern slope of Santiago Creek at the landfill/creek interface (stabilization), and construction of a 25,000 to 30,000 square foot gymnasium, a 10,800 square foot community center, a 47,300 square foot aquatic center (two pools), a 10,000 square foot skate park, passive amenities (tot lot, picnic shelter, etc.), parking, and circulation improvements.
