Document Description
Alternative D is the preferred alternative. It involves the complete relocation of the SARI line between Stations 977+00 and 1237+21. The new pipeline would be located out of the Santa Ana River floodplain into an alignment under La Palma Avenue and continuing easterly under the existing paved bikeway to a crossing under the BNSF railroad. The alignment would extend upstream to the San Bernardino County line along the northerly side of the railroad to the Green River Golf Course. The pipeline would be designed to carry the combined flows of brines generated in the Riverside and San Bernardino areas and the domestic wastewater generated in Orange downstream of the Green River Golf Course (30 to 40 mgd combined flows).
